JPEG Optimizer is a program for compressing image files to the JPEG format with a real-time preview. The program is easy to use and interactively displays the results of changing compression settings on screen. JPEG Optimizer 3 introduces MagiCompressTM to magically shrink your images at the touch of a button. MagiCompress technology automatically compresses your image while preserving the regions of the image that need less compression. Regions such as straight lines don't hold up well under regular compression. But with MagiCompress, those areas are not compressed as much as the rest of the image is. This gives greatly improved compression over standard programs, in some cases 50% ie half the size without and noticeable difference.
